We have decided to study the food preferences of sunbleaks (see our homepage www.moderlieschen.de.tl [now deactivated]). For this we have taken a small group of sunbleaks from our school pond and keep them in an aquarium.
We would like to find out why sunbleaks can survive in places such as our school pond - which does contain many plants - without any food supply from outside and without human help. We offer these fish different foods at regular intervals and observe their eating behaviour. At last, we hope to discover their preferred foods and how they can survive in a pond without any human intervention.
