In a cemetery, you can learn a lot about rocks as cemeteries are big rock collections. These rocks, which have been placed peacefully side by side, come from all over Germany, from Europe and from all over the world. Therefore we decided to write a small guidebook about the cemetery of Bad Münstereifel and the rocks that you can see there.
To start, we picked ten especially interesting gravestones, took pictures and marked them on a map. Then we found out what they are called, which helped us describe their properties and identify their origin. Furthermore, we prepared thin sections to learn even more about these rocks.
