I successfully fabricated microscale polymer fibers at a low cost using equipment available to schools. I used electrospinning, which was patented in 1929 and after having been forgotten for a while it has been rediscovered recently. After a series of gradual improvements, I am confident that I will reach the nanoscale within the next few weeks and I aim to advance to conductive polymers eventually.
