Abstract

The Student Noise Preventer

Alexander Kaspari

project report

The student noise preventer is a device that controls the noise level in the classroom. The noise caused by students is detected using a microphone and then amplified. If the noise level exceeds a certain threshold, a circuit activates acoustic and optical warning signals that indicate that the classroom is too noisy. The acoustic signal does not interrupt the teacher as it has a frequency that is only audible for the students and the warning threshold can be adjusted.
