Our goal is to make road traffic safer and less destructive for trucks and busses. We achieve this with an intuitively useable display that we integrated within a side mirror. The display shows the blind spot and it remains hidden behind the mirror when it is turned off. We also equipped the mirror with an arrangement of shock-absorbing material and pneumatic springs that avoids or minimizes damage during collisions with objects at low to medium speeds.
