Abstract

ESS - Energy Saving Star

project report

Plates for infants often have barriers that allow the food to be separated, which helps it cool down faster.

We thought that this might be due to the larger surface area and our hypothesis is that a larger surface area may also allow food to be heated more quickly and with less electricity.

Our goal is to develop a star consisting of food safe silicon, which can be used to increase the surface area of food so that it gets heated more quickly in the microwave. We conducted experiments to test our hypothesis and we did not observe any significant effect on heating and electricity consumption.
