Large fires in factories and warehouses are far too common and often cost millions of euros. It would save a lot of money and possibly even lives, if the fire could be fought immediately. However, valuable time passes between informing the fire service and their arrival at the fire.
Aiming to tackle this problem, I built a fully functional model of a fire engine that could be placed in warehouses as a precaution. Once the fire service has been informed, a fire fighter can start extinguishing the fire by controlling the small fire engine from the fire station via the internet already before the first fire fighters are on the road.
