project report

Our goal is the energy optimization of our school building. St. Michael-Gymnasium (our school) was built in 1625 and extended in 1981. The heating system of the old building was equipped to allow heating of individual rooms in 2004. In cooperation with the city council, we have been able to modernize the heating system of the extension so that rooms can now be heated individually throughout our school. Furthermore, we have optimized the heating system by manually adjusting it to the timetable. However, our goal is to automate the heating of each room based on the timetable, automatically taking daily adjustments such as cancelled classes or room changes into account. Such a system would also be applicable to larger buildings.
