The Automatic Cat Feeder

We set ourselves the goal of building an automated cat feeder for dry cat food. It is supposed to feed the cat only when the previous portion has been finished and 24 hours have passed. In order to realize such a device, we built a robot using Lego Mindstorms NXT and programmed it using NXC. The program calculates the optimal amount of food based on the cat's weight and it controls a rotary feeder which fills a feeding bowl.
