Inspired by seeing a home for disabled people, we set ourselves the goal of designing and constructing a self-closing robotic hand. Our basic idea is to use a photoelectric barrier to activate the closing mechanism with an Arduino. Practical designs could help disabled people as well as find applications in industry.
