I have always been interested in lighting technology, therefore I set myself the goal of making OLEDs. This requires a technique for covering glass substrates with thin films - ideally under vacuum conditions. Thus, in order to make OLEDs I needed a thin films coating technique that allows the deposition of the required layers in vacuum. However, despite best efforts I was not able to get "Super Yellow", which is produced by Merck® and essential for fabrication of my OLEDs. Therefore, I decided to focus on thin film deposition. For this, I will have to construct a spin coater and a vacuum pump. In addition, I will need to realize a solution for adding material under vacuum conditions.
